Traditional Kung Fu Spear

Because of its instinctive use (“poke it!”), effectiveness on horseback, and simple manufacture (a pointy stick), the spear was the most prominent and often the most deadly weapon on any battlefield in history, be it Greek, Japanese, Medieval, or Chinese. The spear, one of the four principal weapons of kung fu, had the built-in advantage of tremendous reach that was a challenge to overcome. In fact, most broadsword techniques are specifically tailored to combating a spear, so important was this ability. Today it is the fastest and flashiest of the long weapons in martial arts. This spear is constructed of a flexible wax wood staff and a very stiff chrome steel head. It is made for traditional training.

This particular spear is made specifically for competition; it is lightweight for incredible speed and ease of use and flexible to show power clearly in a visually impressive way. Combat Stainless Steel Spear

In Chinese martial arts, it has become rare to find a good-quality heavy weight spearhead. Knowing this, Sifu Lam has commissioned the manufacture of these Combat Spears and Spearheads to fulfill the need of those martial artists who cannot take the custom route. The heads are made of extremely rigid stainless steel whose weight promises to increase your overall striking speed and power. Train with this head on your weapon and you will flick any other spear around like nothing (an especially good training strategy for competition)! Etched with Sifu Lam’s personal mark. Steel Spear Head with Tassel

These spearheads are made of chrome-plated steel and come with their own red tassel, ready to fix onto a shaft of appropriate length. These heads are strong and have a distinctive diamond-shaped cross-section. Available in Large (Approximately 12” long/8 oz.), Medium (Approximately 10.5”/4 oz.), and Small (Approximately 7”/3 oz.).
