Site IssuesAs many of you already know, we have had to migrate the entire site to a new server in order to use the features of the new store. In doing so, all of the file structure of the site changed. This caused catastrophic issues with our order and email systems. Additionally, some of you might be seeing SSL Certificate errors. We are working to correct this as quickly as possible.
There are currently two active and functional security certificates on the site, the one that went into effect last fall and is still valid until October 28, 2008. The second is a new one just purchased to fix this issue. However, for some unknown reason, some customers are still seeing the errors. Our best guess presently is with the newest updates from Microsoft security of your web browsers have been heightened. Combine that with an old security certificate saved in the browsers from previous visits, and we have an issue. Additionally, some certificates name our site as "castleen.com" while others see it as “www.castleen.com”. With the new security consciousness, this matters.
However, errors and slanted wording thereof notwithstanding, your order information is completely secure and safe when you order from us.
What happened to CMA Supply?
CMA Supply is still functional –until the end of this year. At that time, however, CMA Supply will cease to exist as an entity. CMA Supply was initially a partnership, which is why it began as a separate entity from Castle Enterprises in the first place. However, that partnership was dissolved long ago and keeping CMA as a separate entity just makes keeping track of the books twice as hard, and twice as expensive.
The principals behind CMA, or, Christian Martial Arts Supply, are still in effect just as much now as they were at the beginning. In addition to Christian guiding principles in business practices, that name connected to the growing Christian martial arts movement as an alternative to traditional influences of other religions in martial arts for those of the Christian faith. Certainly, we wish to welcome all people, regardless of faith, as valued customers.
As you may notice, many of the items are missing from the new store. However, the items you see now will expand greatly in the weeks and months to come. Additionally, pricing will be more current as well as information regarding discontinued items.
New Start
While this feels much like a new start, we greatly appreciate the loyalty many of you have shown over the years. It is this long-standing history which makes this feel like a new start when in reality it is just an evolution in an effort to serve you, our valued customers, better.
